after retiring from the military, my dad settled us in hampton roads. where lots of military retire, i heard. and i believe it to be true. my kindergarten best friend's family also ended up here. what are the chances, unless the former sentence is true.
i dreamed of escaping to college and never returning to this area, except for the occasional visit to any family members that remained. perhaps, i'd head back west. near the celebrities, becoming one myself.
unfortunately, i partied too much and fucked up that chance. money-wise, i'm struggling. my job situation is unstable, as i've chosen to take an insane, currently low paying, chance. my motivation is fleeting. my priorities have been skewed. my dreams are meeting up with reality. there are countless other reasons and excuses that have left me stuck here.
